KALCM Cheonryong

The KALCM Cheonryong is a South Korean air launched cruise missile manufactured by LIG Defense & Aerospace, which handles final assembly, and Hanwha Aerospace, which builds the engine, combining a dual warhead structure with a stealth oriented design comparable in role to the German-Swedish Taurus KEPD 350 and the American AGM-158 JASSM. It is being developed by the Agency for Defense Development together with LIG Defense & Aerospace between 2018 and a planned 2028 to close a projected shortfall of up to 600 long range missiles in the Republic of Korea Air Force inventory, with initial deployment planned for 2028, formal service entry planned for 2031, and roughly 200 units planned for production by that year.
