Kh-58

Missiles And Guided Munitions

The Kh-58 is a Soviet-designed air-launched anti-radiation missile built by the Raduga design bureau as a solid-fuel successor to the Kh-28, developed in the early 1970s for use with the Su-24M attack aircraft. It entered service in 1982 under the NATO reporting name AS-11 Kilter, guided by inertial navigation paired with a passive radar seeker that homes on hostile radar emissions. The original version reached targets up to 120 kilometers away, while the improved Kh-58U variant introduced in 1991 extended the range to 250 kilometers and added lock-on-after-launch capability.
