A knobkerrie, also spelled knobkerry, knobkierie or knopkierie, is a form of wooden club used mainly in Southern Africa and Eastern Africa. It typically has a large knob at one end for striking an opponent, carries marked cultural significance for the peoples who use it, and carrying one has also held a political dimension, especially in South Africa.
