The Lahti L-35 is a semi-automatic pistol designed by Aimo Lahti and manufactured in Finland from 1935 to 1952, chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. Built to work reliably in extreme cold and when fouled, it served as Finland standard military sidearm through the Winter War and Continuation War, with its distinctive bolt accelerator mechanism aiding function in arctic conditions; Sweden later produced a licensed copy, the Husqvarna m/40, though inferior steel gave it reliability problems the original did not share.
