The M119 howitzer is a lightweight 105 mm towed field gun used by the United States Army, built at the Joint Manufacturing Technology Center at Rock Island Arsenal as the American licensed version of the British L119 light gun. It is typically towed by HMMWV vehicles and can be airlifted by helicopter or dropped by parachute, having entered service in December 1989 with production continuing through 2013. Beyond the roughly 821 M119A2 and M119A3 guns the United States Army held as of January 2025, it is also operated by Saudi Arabia, the Kurdistan Region's Peshmerga forces, and Ukraine.
