The Mark 50 is an American lightweight anti-submarine torpedo whose production began in 1991, built to attack fast, deep-diving submarines from aircraft and surface ships. It was intended to replace the Mark 46 as the US Navy's primary lightweight torpedo, but cost led the Navy to adopt the cheaper Mark 54 for that role instead.
