The meteor hammer is an ancient Chinese weapon consisting, at its most basic, of two weights connected by a rope or chain, placing it among the broader classes of flail and chain weapons. It is known by many regional names, including dai chui, flying hammer, and dragon's fist, depending on construction and intended use. Little evidence survives that it was used in actual historical combat, and today it is documented chiefly as a traditional martial arts weapon.
