Noor (missile)

The Noor is a long-range anti-ship cruise missile manufactured by Iran and used as the primary anti-ship weapon of the Iranian Navy, developed after Iran began reverse-engineering the Chinese C-802 missile in the mid-1990s, with upgraded variants tested in 2000 and 2001. It flies a sea-skimming profile at up to Mach 0.9 in cruise and Mach 1.4 in its terminal phase, guided by inertial navigation with active radar homing, and can be launched from ships, ground-based launchers or aircraft to a range of 30 to 220 kilometers depending on the variant. Beyond Iran, it has also been supplied to Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis.
