The Norinco HP9-1, also known as the Norinco N870-14.00 and Norinco M982, is a short pump action shotgun manufactured by Norinco of China, produced from 1999 to the present. It is a copy of the Remington 870, a widely distributed design no longer under patent protection, with interchangeable parts. It is chambered in 12 gauge, holds four rounds in an internal tube magazine, accepts 2.5 inch and 3 inch shells, and is offered with 12.5, 14, or 18 inch barrels, a rust-resistant parkerized finish, and bead front or ghost ring iron sights.
