The P-800 Oniks, sold abroad as the Yakhont, is a supersonic anti-ship cruise missile developed by NPO Mashinostroyeniya in the Soviet Union and Russia, entering production in 1987 and service in 2002. Powered by a ramjet engine, the Russian version reaches roughly Mach 2.9 and a range near 600 kilometers, while the export Yakhont variant is limited to 120 to 300 kilometers. It has been fired in the Syrian Civil War and the Russo-Ukrainian war that began in 2022.
