PBK-500U Drel

The PBK-500U Drel is a Russian inertial- and GLONASS-guided cluster glide bomb built to destroy enemy armored vehicles and buildings, designed by NPO Bazalt in 2016 and entering production and service with the Russian military in 2024. Released from an aircraft, it can glide as far as 30 to 50 kilometers from a launch altitude of up to 14 kilometers, and carries 15 self-targeting anti-tank submunitions fitted with infrared and radar seekers along with an identification-friend-or-foe system to avoid striking friendly vehicles. The weapon weighs 540 kilograms and carries electronic countermeasures intended to resist jamming. As of its introduction Russia is its only known operator.
