The PP-90M1 is a Russian submachine gun chambered for the 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge. It was developed in the 1990s by the KBP Instrument Design Bureau, which is also its manufacturer. Its most distinctive feature is a 64-round helical magazine, a far larger ammunition capacity than a conventional box magazine gives a weapon of this size; a 32-round box magazine is listed for a prototype. Despite the similar designation it is unrelated to the PP-90M apart from sharing a manufacturer, so the two should not be confused. The PP-90M1 is blowback operated and has a stock that extends to 620 millimetres and folds to 410 millimetres. The reference article gives a rate of fire of 500 to 600 rounds per minute and a range of 200 metres, and lists the 9x19mm 7N31 cartridge alongside standard 9x19mm Parabellum.
