The Panzerhaubitze 2000, generally abbreviated PzH 2000, is a German tracked, self-propelled 155mm howitzer developed in the 1980s and 1990s by what is now KNDS Deutschland together with Rheinmetall for the German Army, entering service in 1998. Its automated ammunition-handling system allows it to fire up to ten rounds per minute in sustained fire or a burst of several rounds fired at different trajectories timed to land on the same target simultaneously, and depending on the ammunition used its range extends from about 30 kilometers with standard shells to more than 50 kilometers with rocket-assisted projectiles, giving it among the most capable fire rates and ranges of any Western self-propelled howitzer of its generation. The PzH 2000 has been adopted by nine countries including Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Greece and Ukraine, where German-supplied examples have seen combat during the Russian invasion.
