Remington 870

The Remington 870 is an American pump-action shotgun manufactured by the Remington Arms Company, designed in 1950 and placed into production the following year, remaining in continuous production ever since and standing among the best-selling shotguns in history, with over 11 million produced and the ten millionth unit completed in 2009. Built with a bottom-loading, side-ejecting receiver and dual action bars operating an internal hammer, the 870 has been offered over its long production life in multiple gauges, including 12, 16, 20 and 28 gauge as well as .410 bore, with barrel lengths ranging from 14 to 30 inches suited to purposes from home defense to competitive clay shooting.
