The RIM-66 Standard, known in its surface-to-air role as the SM-1MR and SM-2MR, is a medium-range surface-to-air missile developed for the United States Navy with a secondary anti-ship role. It replaced the RIM-2 Terrier and RIM-24 Tartar missiles that Navy ships had carried since the 1950s, and an extended-range variant, the RIM-67, added a solid rocket booster stage.
