Rudram (missile)

Rudram, meaning Roaring, is a series of supersonic and hypersonic air-to-surface anti-radiation missiles developed by India's Defence Research and Development Organisation for launch from a range of altitudes with a large standoff distance against enemy radar, communication stations and bunkers. Development began in April 2012 and was officially approved that December, with the first variant, Rudram-1, entering service with the Indian Air Force in 2022. The missile is being readied for series production with Bharat Dynamics Limited and Bharat Electronics Limited, alongside Adani Defence and Aerospace as a development and production partner for mass manufacture.
