The S&T Motiv K14 is a bolt-action sniper rifle chambered for the .308 Winchester cartridge, developed by the South Korean firearms maker S&T Motiv and described as the standard sniper rifle of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces. For decades the South Korean Army had no standard-issue sniper rifle, and after the experience of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and the large sniper force kept by North Korea, the army set requirements in 2011 for a domestic rifle. The design was developed over about two years, evaluated by the military for a year, and accepted into service in December 2012 as the army's first general-issue sniper rifle. The rifle weighs about 5.5 kilograms without sight and magazine, measures about 1,150 millimetres in length, is listed with a range of 800 metres and feeds from a standard five-round magazine. Deliveries to the military were completed in January 2021.
