SIG Sauer CROSS

Small Arms And Sidearms

The SIG Sauer CROSS is a light-weight bolt-action precision hunting rifle made by the North American branch of SIG Sauer, headquartered in Newington, New Hampshire, in the United States. The company describes it as built to meet the demands of both precision long-range shooting and extreme back country hunting. It was announced in December 2019 and is the company's first bolt-action offering since the SSG 3000 appeared in 1992. It is sold to civilians in the United States in three chamberings, .308 Winchester, 6.5mm Creedmoor and .277 Fury, with a 16-inch barrel for the .308 and .277 versions and an 18-inch barrel for the 6.5mm version, each with a 1:8 twist. Weights are 6.5 and 6.8 pounds. The trigger pull is adjustable between 2.5 and 4.5 pounds-force, and the rifle has an M-LOK attachment system and a folding stock with an adjustable cheek rest and shoulder pad. It is a commercial rifle rather than a fielded military weapon.
