SIG Sauer P238

The SIG Sauer P238 is a compact single action semi-automatic pistol chambered in .380 ACP, built on an M1911 style platform by SIG Sauer and announced at the 2009 SHOT Show. It has an aluminum frame with a stainless steel slide, an all stainless version is sold as the HD model, weighs 15.2 ounces, measures 5.5 inches overall with a 2.7 inch barrel, and feeds from a six or seven round single column magazine, with three dot or tritium night sights standard on current models. Its all metal construction sets it apart from polymer framed rivals in the same class, such as the Ruger LCP and Kel-Tec P-3AT.
