The Steyr Infantry Weapon System 2000 is a single-shot, bolt-action anti-materiel rifle produced by the Austrian firearms manufacturer Steyr Mannlicher. Unlike most anti-tank rifle designs, the IWS 2000 has a smoothbore barrel, which allows higher projectile velocity and a longer barrel service life. Because the smooth bore provides no rifling-induced spin stabilization, its projectile instead uses aerodynamic fins as an armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding-sabot round.
