The Steyr M1912, also known as the Steyr-Hahn, is an Austro-Hungarian semi-automatic pistol developed by the Osterreichische Waffenfabriks-Gesellschaft and adopted by the Austro-Hungarian Army in 1912. It served as a principal Austro-Hungarian sidearm through the First World War and remained in use into the Second World War, featuring an external hammer and a short recoil action with a rotating barrel. Chambered originally in 9mm Steyr, later examples were converted to 9x19mm Parabellum for German police service.
