Stratus, formerly called the Future Cruise/Anti-Ship Weapon or FMAN/FMC in French, is a joint French-British missile programme launched in 2017 to succeed the two countries' Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missile and their separate Exocet and Harpoon anti-ship missiles, with Italy moving to join the programme as of June 2023. It was previously known as the Future Offensive Surface Weapon to the Royal Navy and as SPEAR 5 to the Royal Air Force. The Stratus family comprises two missiles, Stratus LO and Stratus RS.
