Surya missile

The Surya is an alleged intercontinental ballistic missile reported to have been under development by India's Defence Research and Development Organisation, though the Indian government has never officially confirmed the program. It was first reported in a 1995 article in The Nonproliferation Review, which stated work had reportedly begun in 1994, and its existence was not corroborated by any other source until 2010; a 2013 report speculated it might continue under the codename Agni-VI, a claim that likewise remains unconfirmed. Speculated specifications describe a three stage design combining two solid fuel stages and one liquid fuel stage, an intercontinental range of roughly 12,000 to 18,000 kilometers, and either multiple independently targetable warheads or a single large warhead, though none of these figures has been officially verified.
