The Tallboy was an earthquake bomb developed by British engineer Barnes Wallis and used by the Royal Air Force during World War II against fortified structures that resisted conventional bombing. It saw active service from 8 June 1944 to 25 April 1945, dropped exclusively by modified Avro Lancaster bombers of Nos. 9 and 617 Squadrons.
