The Tigerfish, formally the Mark 24, was a British heavyweight, wire-guided acoustic homing torpedo developed from 1959 and deployed by the Royal Navy from 1979. Launched from submarines against both submerged and surface targets at ranges up to 39 kilometers, it was superseded by the Spearfish torpedo beginning in 1988 and was retired from service in 2004.
