The Torped 47, also called the SLWT for Saab Lightweight Torpedo, is a lightweight torpedo for anti-submarine warfare and for attacking surface targets. It uses active and passive homing together with wire guidance, so it can pursue several targets. Saab Dynamics designed and builds it for the Swedish Navy as the replacement for the Torped 45. It can be launched from stationary positions, surface vessels, submarines and helicopters, and it is intended especially for littoral operations against submarines and ships. The Finnish Navy selected it for its Squadron 2020 programme. Saab delivered the first example to the Swedish defence materiel administration in October 2022, and it was officially handed to the Swedish Navy in December 2022.
