Ure (missile)

The Ure, also known as the KTSSM or Korean Tactical Surface-to-Surface Missile, is a short-range tactical ballistic missile developed by South Korea's Agency for Defense Development and Hanwha Group specifically to strike hardened, buried North Korean artillery positions. Development began in 2014 and the missile entered operational service in February 2025, guided by GPS and inertial navigation to a circular error probable of about 2 meters for the shorter-range 180-kilometer Block 1 variant, or 9 meters for the longer-range 290-kilometer Block 2 variant. It carries a thermobaric or high-explosive and thermobaric warhead and is manufactured by Hanwha Aerospace.
