Walther WMP

The Walther Magnum Pistol, usually shortened to WMP, is a full-size rimfire semi-automatic pistol made by Carl Walther GmbH of Germany and introduced in 2022. It is chambered for the .22 WMR cartridge and works by fixed-barrel direct blowback, with a fiber-optic front sight, a serrated two-dot rear sight and box magazines holding ten or fifteen rounds. Its ergonomics and manual of arms follow Walther's centerfire PPQ, PPS and PDP pistols, which makes it suitable for training, plinking, small-game hunting and outdoor use. It competes with other .22 WMR semi-automatic handguns such as the Kel-Tec PMR-30 and the Smith and Wesson M and P 22 Magnum. The article lists two variants, the WMP SD and the WMP Military, but names no armed force that operates the pistol or any war in which it was used.
