FAQs

Why is the PGM Hécate II sometimes called the FR-12.7?

FR-12.7 stands for Fusil à Répétition de calibre 12.7 mm.

FR-12.7 is a French designation for the rifle: Fusil à Répétition de calibre 12.7 mm, which translates as 12.7 mm calibre repeating rifle. The name refers to the rifle's .50 BMG (12.7×99mm NATO) chambering. PGM Précision of France makes it, and it is the largest weapon the company manufactures.
