The Winchester Model 1886 is a lever-action repeating rifle designed by John Browning for the Winchester Repeating Arms Company to handle some of the more powerful cartridges of its era. Introduced in 1886, it was produced until 1935 with roughly 160,000 made, and a modern production run resumed in 1986.
