Ya Zahra air defense system

The Ya Zahra is a light, mobile, short-range surface-to-air missile system developed by Iran as an unlicensed copy of the Chinese HQ-7 missile, which was itself based on the French Crotale system. It uses the Shahab Thaqeb missile with solid fuel propulsion, measures 2.2 meters wide and 1.5 meters high, and entered mass production on January 27, 2013, continuing to the present as a short-range air defense system of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force. Later generations improved the design, with the Ya Zahra-3 variant adding electro-optical equipment said to help detect and track targets under heavy jamming, and a fully mobile version called Herz-9 also exists; Iranian sources describe their version as an advancement over the original French Crotale design.
