Assault Rifles of Germany

This is a child group of Assault Rifles, collecting the Small Arms And Sidearms subcategory's assault rifles designed and manufactured in Germany: the Heckler and Koch family spanning the G41, HK33, HK416 and HK433, the wartime Grossfuss Sturmgewehr prototype, and the Haenel MK 556 developed for the modern Bundeswehr rifle program, among others. With 12 attested members this reflects Germany's continuous postwar role as one of the small number of countries that both designs and exports assault rifles at scale, from Cold War era service rifles through the HK416 platform later adopted by other nations' special operations and infantry forces under their own program names.
