Small Arms And Sidearms

The Modele 1777, later refined as the Modele 1777 corrige en l'an IX, was a French flintlock musket that became one of the most widely used infantry weapons on the European continent. Designed in 1777, it was produced in numerous variants for light infantry, artillery and cavalry units and served the French Army from 1777 through 1840, seeing extensive action across multiple continents during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Approximately seven million examples were manufactured over its production run.
