First Balkan War

The First Balkan War was fought from October 1912 to May 1913 between the Balkan League, an alliance of Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece and Montenegro, and the Ottoman Empire. Rapid and coordinated offensives by the League's armies drove Ottoman forces out of nearly all of their remaining territory in southeastern Europe within a few months. The war ended with the Treaty of London in May 1913, which confirmed the Ottoman Empire's sweeping territorial losses in the Balkans, though disagreement among the victorious allies over how to divide the conquered land, particularly Macedonia, left the peace unstable and set the stage for renewed fighting weeks later.
