The AK-12 is a Russian assault rifle built by Kalashnikov Concern, representing the fifth generation of Kalashnikov pattern rifles. It was designed by 2011 and adopted by Russian forces in 2018, and is produced in several caliber variants including 5.45x39mm, 7.62x39mm, 5.56x45mm NATO and 7.62x51mm NATO.
