The Shorts Blowpipe is a man-portable surface-to-air missile that served with the British Army and Royal Marines from 1975 to 1985, and also with other armed forces worldwide, with most examples retired by the mid-1990s. It is unusual among man-portable air-defense systems in being manually guided to its target with a small joystick that sends correction commands to the missile over a radio link.
