The BSA Welgun was a prototype submachine gun developed by the British Special Operations Executive during the Second World War. Designed by F.T. Bridgman and built by the Birmingham Small Arms Company, it was designed in 1942 and produced in 1943. Although it performed well in trials, the Welgun was never formally adopted by British forces and was produced only in small numbers, seeing use in trials rather than widespread service.
