The Daewoo Precision Industries K4 is a South Korean high-speed automatic grenade launcher firing the 40x53mm grenade, in use with the Republic of Korea Armed Forces. It was first developed in 1994 as a complement to the K-201 hand-held grenade launcher that attaches to the K2 rifle. Empty and without accessories it weighs 34.4 kilograms, it can fire up to 325 rounds per minute, and its firing range is 1.5 kilometres. For night operations a KAN/TVS-5 night vision scope can be fitted to the receiver. The K4 is said to resemble the American Mk 19 automatic grenade launcher. Beyond South Korea, small numbers have been used by Iraqi special forces on Humvees, Libya was its first export customer in 2009, Mexico has bought it since 2011, Poland ordered several hundred in 2022, and a 2019 SIPRI small arms report records 17 transferred to Singapore.
