F1 submachine gun

The F1 is a 9x19mm Australian submachine gun manufactured by the Lithgow Small Arms Factory, first issued to Australian forces in July 1963 as a replacement for the Owen machine carbine. It remained in service until 1991, when it was retired in favor of the F88C Austeyr rifle, and it saw combat in the Vietnam War and the Sino-Vietnamese War, though it never gained popularity with the troops who carried it and was largely superseded during the Vietnam War by the American M16A1 rifle.
