The horseman's pick is a weapon of Middle Eastern origin used by cavalry in Europe and West Asia during the Middle Ages, a form of war hammer with a long, slightly curved spike opposite the hammer head. A metal version called the nadziak was among the main weapons of the Polish Winged Hussars, and an English variant used by billmen saw great success during the Hundred Years' War, where it was used to tear riders from their mounts.
