The Karabinek-granatnik wzor 1960, also designated PMK-DGN-60 or PMK-60, is a Polish-made version of the AK-47 assault rifle that can launch rifle grenades. A LON-I grenade launcher is screwed onto the muzzle end of the barrel and locked by a spring-loaded plunger in the front sight base, with its sight mounted on the rear sight base. A valve on the right side of the gas block shuts off the gas while grenades are fired, a special rubber recoil pad is used, and a special ten-round magazine with a filler block prevents loading ordinary bullets. A regular version without the launcher was also made. Operators included Poland, Vietnam, Rwanda, Somalia and Palestinian guerrilla factions in Lebanon, and Poland now uses it only in limited numbers as the wz. 83 Pallad replaces it.
