Komodo Armament D5

The Komodo Armament D5 is an assault rifle produced by PT Komodo Armament Indonesia, chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. It weighs 1.5 kilograms in its polymer version and up to 3.4 kilograms in its standard configuration, measures 840 millimeters extended and 770 millimeters retracted, and is offered with short, medium, or long barrels of 270, 320, or 370 millimeters. It is gas operated, using either direct impingement or an optional piston system, fires at 700 rounds per minute with a muzzle velocity of 900 meters per second and an effective range of 400 meters, and feeds from a 30-round polymer magazine. The rifle has a polymer construction with a cerakote or hard anodized finish, four Picatinny rail sections, and a rail integration system handguard for heat dissipation during sustained fire; local manufacturing accounts for about 80 percent of its content.
