M107 self-propelled gun

The M107 was a 175 millimeter self-propelled gun used by the United States Army and Marine Corps from the early 1960s to the late 1970s, part of a family of self-propelled artillery that also included the M110. It was built to provide long-range fire support in an air-transportable system and was exported to Germany, South Korea, Spain, Greece, Iran, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Turkey. Its combat history in American hands was limited to the Vietnam War, though it saw extensive use in Israeli service. The M107 shared many components with the M110 203 millimeter howitzer, which eventually replaced it in most roles, and although withdrawn from United States service in the late 1970s it remains in military service elsewhere as of 2024.
