The PM2, short for Pistol Mitraliur 2, is a submachine gun manufactured by Pindad of Indonesia, in service since 2006. Based on the Pindad SS2 rifle platform, it fires the 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge from a blowback action and was designed to exceed the performance of the widely used German Heckler and Koch MP5. It is intended for use by forest guard authorities and law enforcement rather than the regular armed forces.
