The PT-91 Twardy, Polish for Hard, is a Polish main battle tank developed from the Soviet T-72M1 and designed at the OBRUM design bureau, produced by the Bumar-Labedy company within the Bumar Group. It entered service in 1995, with changes from the T-72M including a new dual-axis stabilized fire-control system, reactive armor, a more powerful engine and transmission, and a new automatic loader.
