The PTRD-41 is a single shot anti-tank rifle designed by Vasily Degtyaryov and produced from 1941 onward for the Soviet Red Army, firing a 14.5x114mm round capable of penetrating the thinner side and top armor of early German tanks such as the Panzer III and Panzer IV at close range. Roughly 293,164 rifles were manufactured between 1941 and 1944 at the Degtyaryov plant. Beyond the Soviet Union it later saw use with North Korea, China, Poland and various Eastern Bloc nations through the 1960s, and captured examples were used by Germany.
