The PTRS-41 is a Soviet semi automatic anti tank rifle designed by Sergei Simonov and firing the 14.5x114mm cartridge. Developed in 1938 and 1939 and put into production in 1941 after the Soviet Union lost much of its anti tank artillery early in the German invasion, it was built as a stopgap anti armor weapon by scaling up features from earlier rifle designs by Simonov.
