The T-10 was a Soviet heavy tank of the Cold War era and the final development of the IS tank series, initially developed under the name Object 730. It was accepted into production in 1953 under the designation IS-8, but in the political climate that followed the death of Joseph Stalin that same year it was renamed the T-10.
