The Type 54 and its variants are Chinese-made copies of the Soviet Tokarev TT-33 semi-automatic pistol, manufactured by Norinco and chambered in 7.62x25mm as well as later variants in .38 Super and 9x19mm Parabellum. It has been in service in China since 1954.
