Walther CCP

Small Arms And Sidearms

The Walther CCP, short for Concealed Carry Pistol, is a semi-automatic pistol developed by Carl Walther for the concealed-carry civilian market and introduced in March 2014. It is a delayed-blowback design that uses gas from the fired cartridge, bled through a small port in the barrel, to slow the rearward motion of the slide. Walther calls this system Softcoil, and it is nearly identical to the one in the Heckler and Koch P7. The pistol has a slim manual thumb safety, an internal firing-pin block, an eight-round magazine and a barrel 90 millimetres long. It was first offered in 9x19mm Parabellum, and a .380 ACP version, the CCP M2 380, reached markets in January 2020. The original model needed a special tool for field stripping, which owners often criticised, and the CCP M2 of September 2018 added a take-down lever. Walther recalled every CCP in March 2017 because of a possible drop-fire condition.
